Floating switch suitable for potentially explosive environments

Level control of liquid substances, particularly suitable for use on tanks and/or purification plants as well as sewage channels, waste water, discharges from septic tanks, industrial waters and others, provided that they are free from sedimentation and compact stratifications that could prevent the float switch from the movement. The “SHUTTLE ATEX” float switch is suitable for use in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres consisting of a mixture of air and flammable substances in the form of gases, vapors or mists. The “SHUTTLE ATEX” float switch consists of a monoblock external body made of pressure-blown polyethylene, a 21(8) A 250V 50-60Hz switch positioned centrally on its own sealed chamber obtained from a polypropylene mono-block body sealed by over-molding with injection of material of the same type. The aforementioned chamber is inserted in a container known as the "external body" and subsequently sealed in the interspace with two-component closed-cell expanded material in order to obtain the necessary triple chamber. The mon-oblock container is made of antistatic and hydrocarbon resistant material. The “SHUTTLE ATEX” float switch falls into the “II 3G” equipment category using the “Ex nC” type of protection, suitable only for use in “Zone 2”. The “SHUTTLE ATEX” float switch is equipped with an “IP68” protection level and can operate in the presence of gases of the “IIB” subgroup and with a “T6” temperature class (0÷50°C).
